Banana pepper, also known as banana chilies or yellow wax pepper, are a mild member of the chili pepper family. They are usually yellow, but can ripen to orange, red, and green. They are five times milder than a jalapeño. They have sweet, slightly tangy taste and can be eaten raw or pickled.
